Antonio a merchant of Venice borrows money from Shylock, a money lender. Instead of charging interest Shylock imposes a bond which is called in when Antonio's ships are lost at sea.
Richmond Shakespeare Society was founded in 1934 to perform Shakespeare in the open air.
Our annual outdoor Summer Show continues this tradition.
