The Embankment, Twickenham

A couple in their 60’s who were once both scientists in the nuclear industry are living in retirement in a rented holiday cottage by the sea. The routine of their life is altered when an old friend, also a scientist, pays a visit.

Behind all the banter of the initial reunion of these three colleagues we discover that there has been a major disaster with the meltdown of a local nuclear reactor.

What mystery, intrigue and liaisons have existed between this eccentric trio of nuclear physicists? And, in the middle of catastrophe, can these scientists atone for their past mistakes and make the world a better place?
