How it works

Positickets is a computerised box-office that you can simply ‘plug into’ and run your ticketing more efficiently and more easily.

To enable you to use the system, you sign up your society or group to lifetime membership of Positickets at either the Positickets Direct service or upgrade at any time to the Positickets Credit/debit Card service.

Then you can use it to run as many shows or events as you want.
 
Each show or event gets a show page on the site, allowing you to sell it effectively to your potential audience through a description, key-art imagery and a bespoke seating plan.

You can easily construct your seating plan from an infinitely variable template, so that your audience can see what seats are available.

If you sign up at the Positickets Direct level, you will be asked to give a box-office phone number which will appear on the show page, enabling ticket buyers to phone up as normal. If you also sell via a high-street shop or physical box office, you can add details of these as well.

Then, when a buyer calls by phone or into a physical location, whoever takes the enquiry can

1. see immediately what seats are available
2. instantly allocate chosen seats to the buyer – blocking off anyone else selling them
3. arrange payment – by cheque, on the door, or whatever other means are usually followed.

The next person to use the system therefore sees fully updated information – avoiding the need to leave notes or take messages – and the potential for any confusion involved!

At the end of the show, full reports are instantly available, showing the number of seats sold, the prices charged, the total revenue, etc.

If you upgrade to Positickets Credit/debit Card, you can then start accepting credit/debit card payments online as well – making sales substantially easier and more convenient for your ticket-buyers – so therefore helping you sell more tickets.

For this you will need a credit/debit card merchant account – which can easily and quickly be applied for. If you don’t already have one, click here for more information and recommended suppliers.

Once you have entered your merchant account details, you are ready to start accepting credit/debit card payments. Ticket buyers will then be able to click directly onto an available seat and pay for it immediately online with their credit card.

You will also be able to add a small booking charge per ticket, to cover the credit/debit card fee. It is up to you how much you add, to ensure your costs are covered.

You then have two options as to how the ticket is delivered:

Positickets charges only to join and a usage charge per show - there is no levy per ticket sold, so your costs are fixed securely in advance.
