Based on the 1913 stage play 'Pygmalion' by George Bernard Shaw, the drama focuses on a poor Cockney flower-seller named Eliza Doolittle who overhears an arrogant phonetics professor, Henry Higgins, as he casually wagers that he could teach her to speak 'proper' English, thereby making her presentable in the high society of Edwardian London. It was first produced on Broadway in 1956 and came to the West End in 1958. Our production features a strong cast and some of the best student musicians from our local schools, an experienced technical team and a set and costumes to die for!
