This summer the Principal Theatre Company is staging the hilarious FAMILY comedy 'The Merry Wives of Windsor' in Albert Square Garden SW8 at 7.30pm on Thursday 3rd July.

This sensational play is adored by audiences all over the world and is certainly one of Shakespeare's most delightful comedies. Merry Wives is a high-spirited romp that centres on the lovable rogue Sir John Falstaff. Hard up for money and seeking to restore his riches, Falstaff attempts to woo the wives of Windsor's two most prominent men. But the wooed Windsor women see through his schemes and his plans go awry-with disastrous and hilarious consequences.

The production will be set during the week of the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977. The Principal magic will involve street parties, music of the period, mayhem and mischief. This fabulously funny show really is a joy to behold for all ages and is a definite date for the diary!

The Merry Wives of Windsor will have a full cast of 20 professional actor/musicians who will help to bring this terrific play to life.
